What's That Sound? Instrument Identification Game (Ages 5-8)
This playfully engaging class will help 5 to 8-year-olds learn to identify the sounds of 43 musical instruments with a playful group game. This game's featured instruments will change from week to week including stringed instruments, woodwind instruments, brass instruments, percussion instruments, and instruments that defy category! Music Notation Escape Room (Ages 6-10)
Pete the piano tuner is excellent at tuning pianos but TERRIBLE about remembering anything else. Can you help Pete remember an entrance code so he can enter Sam's house and tune his piano before the school bus arrives?
In this class students will use their knowledge of music notation to solve puzzles, decode messages, and crack the entrance code. Students will need a basic understanding of note names, note values, treble/bass clefs, and dynamic markings. The instructor will guide the process (adding instruction as needed). This class is a fun way to practice problem-solving skills and teamwork. The questions will range in difficulty to cover the age group.
This class provides a fun way to reinforce music learning and allow students to meet and interact with other classmates who share a love of music!
